heard on the halloween evening when going trick or treating with 4 nice & polite teen girls....the girls, cheerful, in one voice : good evening ! trick or treat !
man opening door with candy bowl in his hand, not saying hi : oh but you're teenagers. i don't give candies to teenagers
the girls : why is that, sir ?
man, putting candy bowl back on the entryway table : some teenagers ruined one of my flowerbeds last year. i hate them now.
the girls : but it was not us ! we would never do that !
man slamming door : i don't care, you all teens in the same basket.
the girls staring at each other with lots of ????? on their faces.
huh. no comment.

I love teenagers! and I love your daughter's very stylish costume, and the shawl. I'm trying to decide whether I want to make a cardigan or a shawl as next project, as I found some very nice patterns - though, really, I should first complete what I have going already! Happy weekend!

ReplyDeleteIt almost hurts us moms more I think when someone is rude to our children. At least I know I wish I could offer my children a perfect world...but that of course is just a dream and they are immensely tougher than we can imagine.
