the "alice" birthday party was a reminder that :
homemade is always welcome (merci sophie pour le lien images). by all ages.
a chocolate fountain outdoors by a (slightly) windy day is a bad idea. but our teengirls found it really fun
the same teengirls truly enjoy party favor boxes. especially the ones who didn't know about this little custom
no doubt L will think more than twice in the future before she decides to dye her hair blond !!!
even a thoughtful mom has two hands only, and can't be a full -time waitress + take decent photos !
by the way... can't you believe it... it's august, already !

Oh what a great idea for a birthday, Alice in Wonderland! So beautiful. Chocolate fountain looks yummy.
ReplyDeleteI love the last picture. Red roses and light blue teapot goes so well together.

ReplyDeleteUn très bon anniversaire à ton adorable jeune fille, incroyable de voir comme son regard est resté le même depuis cette photo d'elle bébé! J'admire l'imagination dont tu fais preuve pour fêter l'évènement. Passe un bel été!
ReplyDeletethank you friends !
ReplyDeleteit was a little harder to put together this year because we had started yard improvements and because i had been very sick the week before & preparing the craft show for next week, but we made it on time !
we rented the chocolate fountain from a local business : it used 800 grams of chocolate (the intense flavored type 70%) there was some leftovers so we had to turn it on again and finish it after sunday dinner : yum !!!
Wonder-ful birthday for sure (as usual). I admire your anticipation and all the lovely details. I am sure they had a lot of fun.
ReplyDeletePS: "oh... so you HAD to turn it on again ?" ;-D
Valerie,
ReplyDeleteEverything looks so "wonderful"!! I am sure the girls will remember this for a while and if they don't, you will. I agree, your daughter is a beautiful brunette....she should remember THAT!!!
All the colours and photos show your fine eye for detail...it's all so lovely....happy it all came together for you and your girl....you deserve the little extra chocolate you HAD to finish!!!
Have a great week! xx

ReplyDeleteMarilyn & carrotseeds : yes we HAD to :P
Dorit : maybe not a birthday idea for your little crowd I guess none of your boys would appreciate the theme for their parties ?!! ;P
Elizabeth : i bought a yard of this fabric on Etsy to make the tablecloth + i made the Alice sky-blue dress too... and that one was not so obvious because i didn't have any pattern
Lucy : LOL at the curly hair !
Cette idée pour un anniversaire est très jolie:)
