sangria
we always prepare a buffet or some evening snacks for the parents who come to pick up their child after the birthday party. this year i made a sangria for them. and judging by the amount of sangria they drank i think everybody enjoyed it ! it was light & fruity on purpose. so, in case you're looking for an easy summer drink to serve, i'm going to share the recipe here.
for 10 to 12 people =
leave to macerate some big chunks of fruits (i used white peaches, melon, strawberries & one orange) for 2 or 3 days
with 2 - 75cl bottles of CĂ´tes du Rhone (or any other light & fruity red wine. the choice of the wine is important if you want a light version like this one) + 1/2 cup of Cointreau liquor.
on party day remove all the fruits & replace them by smaller pieces of the same fresh fruits.
add 1,5 to 2 liters of some french Lorina lemonade (the unflavored traditional kind with the blue label)
+ extra sugar to taste if needed, and serve chilled
cheers !
